Hi everyone,

hard to say what I need in the title ... here are more explanations:

I work in a laboratory and we do test on our products. We receive request (mother table) from different departments and in these requests they ask for different kind of tests (3,4 or more tests for each request) (child table).

For each test I make a form where i put the results.

What I need is that when I receive the request, Access creates automaticaly as many forms as tests are asked to be done. Of course these new entries have to be linked with the mother table of the request

In this way I will be able to identify easely what are the test that are still to be done. Indeed I have an entry that is by defaut "in process" and when i make a request I just need to filter test "in process"

thank you very much for the help

one important precision ... when I talk about request from other departement it has nothing to do with access request ...

Hi lebowski!
Welcome to Access World Forum,
I think you want to create a database where you can record all the requests you receive from other departments and then you want to print reports (in your post forms).
Next you want to know which reports is done "Completed" and which is "in-progress"?

Am I right?
