How can I ignore @Pat Hartman .

All my life I've tried to be as civilized and polite as possible.
But it seems it's not enough for her.

And it's the end of my patience.

There is no way to ignore and mod, and that is how it SHOULD be. Your displeasure is founded and I can assure you that it is being addressed - please find a little more patience.

All you can do to ignore a mod is literally ignore them in the traditional sense of the word. I have almost no one on ignore, because I discovered that the webpage would still notify me when ignored things were present - at which point I'd be too curious to resist the temptation to click 'Show Anyway', so I figured what's the use.

NG I've always wondered about that avatar tagline. poster boy because people will want to ignore you, or because you tend to do a lot of ignoring? I must know.

I've tried to find the post, but have not been able to. I think it was @AccessBlaster, but someone did a screenshot on how to ignore a user and it was my profile being used as an example. AB, being the smartass guy he is, made a remark about me being a Poster Boy for ignoring members. It is a badge I wear with honor!

or because you tend to do a lot of ignoring?
Believe it or not, I do not have anyone on ignore. Everyone has a right to say what is on their mind - as long as they are willing to accept the consequences of their words. If I do not think me engaging them will improve upon the silence, I try to literally ignore them and move on - I've gotten better at it, but sometimes I fail miserably!

I do like the "close your eyes" method Pat mentioned.
You may not believe, I've used that method for a long time. But sometimes when something inappropriate is thrown to you, you may think enough is enough.

I, like you, have no one in my ignore list. But having one, sometimes may help having peace of mind.

A solution might be to have separate accounts for moderators to use when acting in moderator capacity (which cannot be ignored and aren't used to make any posts other than moderation posts) and their regular accounts that can be ignored, etc. like any other member.

I like the idea. Would you please post this in "Site Suggestions" sub forum.

The old AOL message boards use to do this and many of the members were blindsided by the moderators because we felt they were spying on us. The moderators weren't supposed to be members of the same forum they moderated on. On the professional tax forum that I'm a moderator on, the Admin has two accounts, Admin and his name and he's very open about who he is. The moderators only had one account.

she is always on my post..
just give here a Flying Kiss.. (picture deleted).

The idea of "moderator should not be a member of the forum they moderated" implies one moderator for each forum on the site.

The idea of separate moderator vs. member threads isn't bad, except that I would make the "separate member" account a VIP account because that way you don't face a ton of advertising and can get to a necessary work area faster.
