Hi All, I can't seem to find anything on this question which is...

Is is possible to control the layer position of a Form. i.e. is is possible to denote that one form is always behind all others?

The question arises when one uses a splashscreen form and that form doesnt have ability to move or close (it contains certain things which mean it needs to stay there) but I dont want any other forms ending up behind it.

All advice greatfully received.

If you do not want the users to see the splash screen after they have loaed the application you can always hide it but leave it it open.

thats quite right excpet of there are also controls (commands) on the form also. i could put them on another form but then come back to my original question.

Not sure why your splash screen has to stay up since they are usually closed by a timer upon opening a database but you could set your form to hidden so it is up and out of the way.

MSDN has a lot of great info to help your learn VBA... OpenForm Method

Code:
DoCmd.OpenForm "frmSplashScreen",,,,, acHidden [COLOR="SeaGreen"]'[I might be off on the # of commas][/COLOR]

it would probably be safer to store any control values, and close the form.

if you need it again, open it again.
