How to keep old datas which always change

Dear All,

I learn access from some books, could you pls help me as follows:

I built small data base for small engine maintenance, the fields are Job To Do, Interval hours, Last Done, Next Done, and remarks.
This "Remarks column" is needed to be stored everytime we do the maintenance. It should be kept as the engine/part history. The " Job To do " is fixed, what we do is only do the cycle and use the same "ID" no to find the job.
Everytime I update the "remarks" column, the last saved remarks automatically updated as I saved it.
Pls advice.

You seem to have a table structure problem. This link may help you design your tables.

I think you need a separate table for remarks, so that each job can have multiple remarks. I would imagine you want a field for the remark itself, a primary key, a field for the date and a field linking to which job the remark is for.
