How to make items populate in a sub form

Hi all.......... I have a table called products_t with fields named id, product code, discription, size and qty. In the form i have created when typing in the product code it displays the discription, size with qty (qty is blank). What i need is a button when entered it must populate the selected product in a subform and give u an option to enter the qty then return to the area where product code is entered then a submit button that records the data in the subform
