How to make machine readable in Access

Hi,

I would like to know how can i make machine readable text in access. Like the same text found on the US or Forigen Passports.

Example:-

P<COUNTRYLASTNAME<<FIRSTNAME<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
PASSPORTNO<DATEOFBIRTH<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<


I have the Fields but how should I make up the report so if the first name is longer, then "<<<" gets over writeen and the next line should have the Passport No.

Also, If someone knows what this kind of program is called, please let me know and how to get it.

are you talking about OCR (optical character recognition)...?

I think it is called MRP (Machine Readable Passbook/Passport) however it could be OCR.

are you in the business of creating passports?

if not, there are many other better/cheaper ways of creating 'machine' readable data.. ie, barcodes.
