How to rename a field name if I do not know the original field name

You have a number of threads that contain large numbers of posts making them confusing and hard to follow. You asked how to split a pipe delimited string. Very simple and yet that thread is now three pages long!!!! You haven't given much of an explanation of what problem you are trying to solve. However, you have already decided how to solve it. You are asking for code for each step. Maybe, there is a simple solution that someone could offer if you simply explained the problem and let us solve it.

Hi @SHANEMAC51 will it be possible for your share Excel code for splitting TEXT files.
Originally I tried same thing but later on moved to Access. Am thinking of splitting the files and run in Excel only.
Reason is, am very new to Access and seeking help at every stage.

choose a minimal text engine
1. copy
2. delete except 2-3 entries
3. you can correct almost the entire text, but leave part of it so that you can check the encoding and line
breaks to lay out the file itself, you can archive
