How to save two input into one field

Hi there

I would love to know how i can save two textbox into one field
I am totally green and using unbound form
E.g.
Input
Year - Period - Month - # of working days
2014 - 01 - January - 22
2014 - 02 - February - 20

would like to save the record as follows
2014-01; January; 22
2014-02; February; 20

means input "2014 & 01", become one "2014-01"

Why?
Relational database works best when you have 1 fact in 1 field.
You can store Date() which today would be 20/02/2014

You can display the Date in a variety of formats.
