Is there a tutorial on how to split a database so that it can be uploaded to a sharepoint site and one part of it allows updates and the other part only viewing?

The MS Access Tools Menu has a built in utility called the Database Splitter Wizard that will help you.

• From the Tools Menu choose Database Utilities.
• From the Database Utilities menu choose Database Splitter

This will give some briefs and all necessary thing about splitting. (about sharepoint, may be I do not know)
