Hi,

I'm using access 2010. Is there a way to put a hyperlink to a web page in a memo field?

Thanks

Have never heard of anyone doing such and seriously doubt if it's possible. Memo Fields have a bad reputation in some quarters, being blamed for corruption, among other things. I've used them for years without encountering these problems, and I attribute this to my following one simple rule:

Only use Memo Fields to store 'essay' type data, notes, commentaries, narratives, etc. They shouldn't be used for any data that you will ever have to manipulate in any way, shape or form, such as searching, sorting on or parsing out into its component parts! They are to be used in much the same way as a diary would. Any piece of data that requires manipulation belongs in its own, separate Field.

What, exactly, are you trying to do here? Perhaps we could come up with an alternative solution.

Hi,

This memo field is being uploaded to a web site and the customer wanted to put some links into the memo field. I didn't think it was possible.

On another note; I'm having quite a bit of trouble with this database getting corrupted. I'm getting different errors, database put in a state that you can't access, can't find bookmark etc..This just started a week ago, I've recovered all the objects. I went through all the data and removed bad records then split the database to a back end and front end. I thought that this was solved until a day later and the same thing happens. I moved everything from access 2003 to 2010, worked for a while then the same thing starts again. This database has been used for seven years with no problems. Any ideas on how to make this go away?

Thanks

Scroll about 2/3 of the way down the page to the section titled 'Corruption / Repair.'
