Question I want to forecast my customers activities

I want to take my customers activities from the past 8 years and find how often they buy on average of days. I then want to create a program to forecast when I should expect to hear from them.

I use QuickBooks. I then export the data from quickbooks to Excel.

Is this best with Excel or Access or Both?

How do I create this?

You can use Excel or Access. I would use the product that you know the best.

It can be done with Access. I current do it. It is not hard to calculate the average number of days between invoices.

You could use the QB ODBC driver ( http://www.qodbc.com/ ) to allow Access to connect to the QB data. This will allow you to create reports with Access. No need to export the data first.
