I am trying to create a seating chart. I want to show where the tables are in the room and then have a list of names for each table as well as a list of names that have not been seated. I started off by creating a form and then using subforms for each table. That worked well until I got to the 25th table. When I open the form it tells me that it cannot open anymore tables. Does anyone have a good idea on how to do this?

Did you create a subform for each table and a table for each seating table?
Please show some sample data?

I created a subform for each table and then put it all on one form but it's too many forms. It all comes from one table but in each subform it filters by table number. I have a list of names along with the table number they are sitting at. I want a report really. Just something that will print all the names in the area that they will be sitting so that I can easily see who has a better seat. I don't need to move them around from this page. Does that clear it up?

Thanks for the link but that looks a little too complicated for me right now.

Katelyn.

Anything we say might be ‘a little too complicated’ so why not draw it up in Word and post that in a DOC file?

Chris.

why not use listboxes rather than subforms?

Thank you for that idea. It's not perfect but it worked well enough for what I want.
