LOL ...

Okay .... I will try to explain the issue .....

I have 2 tables ... Table A and Table B.

- One record from Table A matches with 3 or more records in Table B (this would be a one to many relationship ..right?

- I would like to select a value from a drop down (Table A) and have the 3 or more records that match from Table B display in a field/ box ...which one I have no idea : )

Now, I am kinda new to Access but with a little direction ...I now I can do this ...

Any help will be appreicated ...thank you in advance

P.S - if this is the wrong place to post this ...pls advise and I will change it

i'd say to read a book on Access first. And one other, dropdowns do not belong in tables. Only in forms. Sorry... ;)

but try this

have a form based on table A
have another form based on table B (make it continuous, rather than single)

in form A, add form B as a subform, and access will either automatically work out how the link between your forms(tables) works, or it will ask you to confirm the link. (it will do it automatically if the field names are the same, or if you have defined the link in a relationship (i think)

without writing a single line of code at all, this will give you a similar effect to what you want. ie as you move through the items in form A, the linked items in form B, will automatically change.

most access solutions build and improve on this basic sort of functionality

You can read All the access books you want, but nothing is better than trying it out for yourself. The Link below points to One of the many FREE Online MS Access Training Options. Each class usually takes between 20 minutes and an hour to complete, and most are well worth their time to a new MS Access user.
