I'm Thinking about taking the VBA Course..

Hey guys and gals,
I am thinking about taking the Introduction to Programming VBA Access course on this forum. Has anyone taken this course? I think I know enough VB to do simple If Statements, Do loops, options, check boxes ect. What I dont know is stuff about records, "programming Expressions", Sql stuff. Basicly VBA For Access. Another thing is about a good book, I have "Access 97 The Bible" does anyone else know a another book that is better then "The Bible" less talk more technical?

I guess noone has taken the course !!! I just bought a book called:

Alison Balter's Mastering Microsoft Access 2000 Development

Looks realy good, anyone got it? any comments?

Hi,
I have "Access 2000 Development Unleashed" and found it quite useful, although I haven't got anything to compare it to.

The book has shown me a lot of things I didn't know, but when i'm stuck with a problem, it never seems to have an answer.

Now I tend to use the Internet to find things i need help with.

I'm interested to know what your new book is like though, I find a lot of books cover the basics and don't go into much depth, which is IMO where most people need help.

Dave, I will let you know about the book as soon as I get it. What cought my attention about this book is that I saw that they actualy go into each event procedure and tell you what each event is used for. Also it has examples of codes and what they do.
But, if Pat ever comes out with the book!!!! that will be one of the best books!!! she has helped a lot of people here and she knows exactly what we poor knowladge access people know. Also I think all the members should have a place where we could send a question that we think it should be on the book and Pat and all the expert Access members should write it together. Call it "The Access Forum Book"
