Importing data from excel

Hi, I'm trying to do an import from excel to access. I created a saved import and everything works with the exception of 1 field. I've defined it as a text field in both excel and access but if the field has for example 1234567B it won't import but if it's all numbers it will? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Strange situation. Try copying and pasting the excel data into Notepad and running the import from the text file.

Does it work if you import the file into a new table [let access define the field data types]? If so, use that table as your new template for future imports.
