Importing Text files to Access2K

Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble importing a large CSV file into Access. It just doesn't seem to be able to read the file-the preview panel on the import wizard just shows question marks. If I then go on to import the file, access just seems to lock up and freeze.
It works fine on a colleagues machine using access 97, however they are going to be upgrading their version of office shortly.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

From the "Import Text Wizard" dialogue, click on "Advanced", and tell me what the "Code Page" combobox displays. I suspect it's Unicode, but should be ASCII or OEM.

It was set to 'Western European (DOS)', I changed it to US-ASCII and it's worked OK!
