Impossible to export queries

On a non-secured, not shared database, I am struggling against the following problem: a user creates a query, saves it, exports it (say under xls 5-7 format). Then Access won t allow to export again the data, unless it is under the same file name and in the same folder (ie: useless).

Error message given for any export attempt:
Impossible to update. The database or object is read-only.

The ONLY WAY OUT I found is the REBOOT.


Anybody has an idea on where the problem comes from and how to overcome that????

I have this error, every time I use Excel export format for Tables or for a query:

I simply started using Comma delimited *.csv's!

Thank you for the answer. I might have to do the same than you suggested. Shame on MS for failing in ensuring basic linkage between MS Office applications
