I have a button that automatically sends an email with an attachment to a specified location. However, the end users want to be able to add a message and additional file attachments. I can create them a template to add the body of the email but I would also like to give them a feature that will allow them to locate their files and attach them. Is there a way for me to program a button similar to what's in outlook that will allow them to locate their file from the directory?

Not saying it couldn't be done, but the simplest solution would be to simply leave the email open for the user to modify/add attachments, after which they send it manually.

Yes. This is what I have them to do now. I don't want them to have the flexibiltiy of MS Outlook. I would like to handle all functions within Access. So I have a template that will allow them to type in the recipient, cc, bcc, and body. Now I need something for them to search the directory for their attachments. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I agree that if you already have a form which replaces an email in Outlook then you need to add a button that will open the file dialog window which will allow users to click on a file which would then return the path.

Each path would have to be added, one at a time to the email so either you would have to allow for the user to choose multiple attachments or you would already have the email object set and be able to add each attachment as they choose it.

It appears you want to remove the use of Outlook as much as possible. The problem you are going to have is that from Access you cannot send an email through outlook with out the users interaction with the Outlook program confirming that it is ok to send the email. AS a start you might read here on this http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=52 Sue seems to be one of the experts on Outlook and the book I can recommend.
