I built a database. I created a help file in microsoft word. I want a button on my form that will open the .pdf help document.

I have read several threads regarding using a link. Creating a link is not practical in this instance.

I appreciate any help that can be provided. This seems pretty simple, but I'm finding this impossible. I've tried importing the different file formats, with no positive results.

I even created a dummy OLE field on a table, created a form from that, I was able to embed the pdf doc. I attempted the same on the table and form I need it on with no success. So right now I'm doing this :banghead::banghead:

I'm really not a head banger, but somehow that feels better that figuring this out......LOL LOL

If creating a link is not practical for you, then tell what is practical for you, (who do you want it?)?
But why is it not practical?

My supervisor wants the help file inside the database. What he wants is a button that will open up my help file document for the end user to read.

How do I make that happen? Thank you for your reply. Still :banghead:

Do you mean to open inside the database, the file stored outside the database, or do you mean also to store the Help file in a Memo field in the database?
