I have a database that I use as an installer for another database. I am trying to make a bar across a form that looks like it is installing, the only problem is, when I am using the "Filecopy" command, while it is copying files, the lines aren't appearing until it is completely done with all of them. Maybe someone could help. Here is a sample of my code.

11 people look, 1 person downloads, no one has any idea? I guess I may be out of luck?

Vassago,

I downloaded it and when stepping through it with the
debugger it looked perfect.

I suspect that it is a timing/refresh issue. I tried putting a
refresh after each filecopy with no luck.

I was copying large 15 Meg files and writing messages to the
status bar. OK, but your labels don't become visible until
the end.

Will research further.

Yep, same problem I was having. If you can come up with a solution, that would be great. I will continue to look over it as well. Thanks for you help.

Doubt this will work but hey....

You gave my problem hell...least i can do is offer some kind of assistance whether it be helpful or not i dont know.
another way you may be able to approach this is by creating a function to calculate the amount of time the file will take to download. Then make a small square label. And move it across the screen using a loop. This will make the label leave a trail until it stops. Not too efficient but it just may work. I'll try to see if i have an example to send u. But it will be in VB6. You'll need VB6 to run it.

Tried that as well, it stops to copy the file, so it won't loop until the files copy, in which it will be done. Thanks for helping.

Vassago,

Try putting A DoEvents Statement after each FileCopy.

It worked for me.
