Here's a bit of light reading for you this evening. Get your head into this excellent article, it's in two parts the link to the second parts at the bottom of the first part!

Somewhere in the bowels of this forum is an article where I take a stance about Access databases vs. the "big boys."

https://www.access-programmers.co.u...rosoft-access-a-proper-database.251994/page-4 (post #65)

I was in a pedantic mood and maybe went a little overboard. <gasp! Say it ain't so...> However, I have realized for years that Access is not a child's toy. It is a very capable beast for small offices with large volumes of things to track.

i don't think i'll read anything that has the words "intellectual adventure" and "ms access" in the same sentence.

Why are you even here if you hate Access so much?

is that because you don't want to read anything that might upset your preconceived beliefs?

it was "sort of" a joke, you guys. I DO like to make fun of access because of its quirks, but like I've said so many times, there's nothing wrong with it. there's something wrong with everything. maybe I should've posted a tongue-sticking out face to show this? :p

maybe you should have, but you didn't and its a 'joke' that you've used ever since you've been here - it's not a joke to anyone else, it's intended to provoke.

Or maybe this

So tired of seeing you stab/demean/slap/insult someone only to retort that it was all in jest. You are the only one who thinks it's funny. The only reason I even see anything you post is because someone quotes you, otherwise I'm blissfully unaware. Speaking of bliss, why don't you leave us for your other forum pursuit and take your hypocrisy with you? You better hope your Jesus doesn't belong to AWF or he might see this...

@vba_php These people have put a life time on programming and specially on Access and have earned their knowledge through these years..
How can you make a joke out of it? It's not something to be laughed at. It's something to be respected.

you're a little too serious, sir. =) not laughing at anyone. trying to be light in nature. nothing I can do if you guys are overly serious, which I've noticed often.

Trying to be light in nature while making insulting remarks? You only get to do that to really good friends. I'm not sure you have any here. Playful teasing is an earned privilege - one that you have not earned. And the current rate, probably never will.

However, I will not insult you. I have decided to no longer stoop to your level. Have a good evening, Adam. I think I will work on my novels for a little while.

i take it back. i have no interest in reading your novels. why bother myself with a joke like that? there's only one book that matters anyway.

Why read when you can watch videos. AmIRight Señor Adam?

Oh? Would that be "Social Graces for Dummies?" Obviously, you didn't finish that one.
