I know alot of people I do work for have never heard of firefox. It almost seems to me that unless a "geek" tells someone about firefox they will never use it.

It always turns out that the user ends up liking FF more the IE anyways..

I try not to use IE at all... Just doesn't do it for me...
i find that the problem with FF and other browsers is that you can't code them easily, so why mess with them!? But then again, I'm in the process of kinda automating my browsing, so I have to use IE for API purposes.

People are becoming more aware that non-IE browsers are less likely to be attacked. This will change though the more popular they become.

unfortunately though, people who know nothing about computers have to use IE, as some of them don't even know what a browser IS! :p

Yeah I have run into this many times. Something will look great work fine in one, then another... no go.. I usually code for FF and when I go into IE it'll be goofed and I will have to change some things in both just to get it to show up correctly.

"Open up internet explorer.... "
"What's that?"
"The thing you use to get to the internet?"
"Oh you mean the e?"

I know what you mean!

What are you guys using? I've got Chrome, and I like it a lot.
I use IE and safari (you need a multi option poll!), I like them both about the same - they are fine for my purposes. I tried using FF on my windows computer for a couple of weeks last year, but I didn't become familiar enough with it in that time to feel comfortable, so I reverted to IE. I have lots of complaints about lots of MS products, but IE isn't one of them. If I ever have problems with it, then I will probably have an incentive to switch.

IE at work anf Firefox at home.

I am on dial up so I use Firefox, some people have told me Chrome is faster for dialup but I have to download that on a Wednesday night after 23:00 when it is not raining after the spring thaw is finished so I have a bandwidth above 24kbps. no seriously otherwise the connection keeps dropping off.
