Hello,
I am from Ireland and I work in laboratory medicine. I started using MS Access around in late 1992 with MSAccess 1.0!
While I regularly use Access, I haven't done that much programming in recent years due to other commitments, but my New Years Resolution was to get going again as I have a database application in mind that I want to build a prototype for.

Welcome, Damo. As you should well know, the only practical limits to most Access apps are the limits of your imagination. It will work for lab data tracking as well as many other kinds of things. So whatever you are doing, good luck and don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.
