Intuit strikes again. Removes features from TurboTax without informing the customer base.

INTUIT STRIPS TURBOTAX DELUXE OF SUPPORT FOR KEY TAX FORMS

Intuit gets greedy, nearly doubles price of TurboTax

Intuit recently offered an non-apology for this supposed "mistake". Intuit proposes to refund$25 dollars after you pay even more to upgrade to the Premier version. If Intuit was really serious about helping their "valued customers" they could have taken one of two possible actions listed below instead of demanding even more money to "fix" a product that they broke by downgrading.

1. Intuit could restore the features they removed through an on-line update.
2. Intuit could allow you to upgrade to the Premier version at NO charge.

know your pain Steve. I use Intuit Quickbooks for my business and they are a little highhanded with it as well. They want you to let them do your payroll. They hide the original version of payroll, cut it up and hide it in the program where it is hard to find and when found hard to use. I wrote and told them any upgrades now or in the future would not be happening and I would be finding another accounting software.

However it seems that most all accounting software pull the same tricks. Or at least so-far I have not found any.

Good luck with your taxes.
