No, that's silly, surely nobody chooses to live in the north, it's so drab and miserable, a bit like most of the people there.

I went to Grimsby once, it was like travelling back to the early 20th century.

If you like home comforts and stuff, why choose Africa? It's hardly renowned for it's modern thinking. Ok if you like living the jungle life I suppose.

America is vaguely civilised, you could have gone there.

Grimsby isn't the north, but then what does a southerner know, north of the Thames is an adventure for most of those big softies. :D

Anything north of the M4 corridor is north.

Liverpool is north. European city of culture? All I've seen is a Macca concert last June and that's it. If it's so great, why does Macca live near Hastings, Ringo lives in Monacco, Tarby live in the Thames Valley, George lived in Esher.

Odd that when you get a bit of money (or sense) people move to live in the south.

Col I would have thought that even you would have known that all the major TV studios are in London, and all the main theatres to say nothing of Heathrow, so people in those fields obviously go where the work and easy transport links are, bit like those other sensible people of taste, MPs. :rolleyes:

The weather might have a bit to do with it as well.
