What my user wants to do is select certain portion of the filed and make it BOLD.

I have a form for this data entry ( The filed name is ProductDescription ) but MS access wont allow me to bold partial section.

My user does not have certain rule which portion of the filed they want to Bold therefore I cannot use the merge to field in report suggested by Lebans

If I try to bold it the whole table becomes bold.

Does any one know if it is possible to Bold a portion of the field. ( We can do it in Excel BUT cant do in MS Access )

I do not want to use the RTF program to bold the text as it converts the filed in long RTF code and in report it does not have can shrink or can grow property.

Thanks

The short answer, I believe, is no. The slightly longer answer is No...unless you have Access 2007 where I /think/ they may have introduced some basic within field formatting like that. Not sure about that though since I have not bothered to get Access 2007....

no is the correct answer, however access 07 has this ability when using memo fields -- however i have concerns that there may be file bloating going on, as it basically store the memo field as ahmtl(?) file - (i have not look at 07, but if this is the case - then its a real downer, --
now there are some bolt on products for access that allow this , but i have never used them

so the answer comes down to Access version you are using ,
if below 07 then no , do you want to upgrade to 07 (personally i would wait a good 18 monthsd let other find the bugs - I know there is a printing bug out there already,)
or look at the bolt on extra's this has a price
