Is this possible?

I have a table with several "comments" fields (data type:text). I would like to merge all the comment fields into one. Is this possible (or dumb????)

Example:

Current format:

comments 1 ( hot )
comments 2 ( cold)
comments 2 (warm)


Desired format:

Comments (hot cold warm)

Yes it is possible.

Are you planning on getting rid of these other comment fields?

To do this add an additional field to the Table and make it a "MEMO"

Then create and update Query that Updates your new field with the values from the other three comment fields concatinated together.

It's usually not a good idea to combine data in a single field. You would be much better of leaving it seperate and concatenating on the fly if needed.

But as Travis has replied ... "it can be done".
