Can anyone help please. attached is my database if you open it and look at the jobs table i need to create a query that shows the employees that have worked for each location example:

Location Date Employee
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Shaun Newman
BP CLeeton 01/02/03 Dino Paleschi
BP Cleeton 02/02/03 Shaun Newman

When i tried to create this query i put BP cleeton in criteria and it said data mistype. i messed with it and thought i had it working but it came back like this:

Location Date Employee
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Shaun Newman
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Shaun Newman
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Shaun Newman
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Dino Paleschi
BP Cleeton 01/02/03 Dino Peleschi

etc..

can anyone help me????? dane

Hi,

Try these two things.

Firstly try put SELECT DISTINCT in your query

If that still gives you repeating groups, then try changing the inner joins into left joins in your query

Cheers

cheers

not a prob mate, but let me know if it works!

Left join is really the correct way to go, but distinct may still do it, read up on left, right and inner joins, it will help you alot!

how do i put that select distinct into my query??? cheers dane

go into design view of your query, then slelect SQL view and where it says

SELECT blah blah

change it to

SELECT DINSTINCT blah blah
