Joins and Numbering Help

Hi,

I am trying to solve this issue. Have been searching the forum for a solution but cannot seem to resolve. Reaching out for some insight.

Looking for a one to many relationship between Table A and Table B. Table A has one Table B has many. I need B to be sequential as related to A.

Table A PK Autonumber, and ID say 100

Table B PK Autonumber, Join to Table A and all new records ID should be 100-1, next record under Table A joined to ID 100 needs to be 100-2, 100-3 and so on.

When I add a new record to Table A ID say 110 I need the records in Table B to be 110-1, 110-2 and so on.

Is this possible?

personally, i would have two separate fields in table B

one to store the foreign key (ie the 100) - and the other to store the unique sequence number.
