Hi,

I am new to the Access world and find I am having a hard time understading what are probably basics.

I have created a db, a couple of queries, forms and reports as well as a data access page.

The db is loaded to my website and I can use the data access page to update the db. I can run the reports on my pc and extract information. Although sometimes I'm not exactly sure why it works!

How can I create a webpage from which others can run the reports?

Does anybody have recommendations for good starter books?

Thanks,
Mike

Well, I've a recomendation to you:

The better place to you begin your research is on the Access help.

Start your job, and when you have a question come to here and share your doubts.

Good Luck.

since you have mentioned, that you loaded your database to the web site, have you considered certain Access limitations, such as the number of concurrent users at any one time ?

If you db is loaded to a well known website, and you might have more than 5 users at any one time, your database might become sluggish.

Thanks for the info.

Access help isn't much different than reading an IBM manual to me. But I'll give it another try.

maxmangion: I appreciate the tidbit on the limitations. Since I've had no practical ex[erience with Access at all these things are nice to know. I get quite a bit of traffic on the site but the db is mainly for me and 3 others so - at least at this point - there wont be many concurrent users.

Mike
