Just arrived, my book Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law by Neil Gorsuch. It's really amazing so far.
It really puts people who have been convicted of federal laws (I.e. 'felons') into perspective. On any given day, most people probably violate a federal law without even realizing it - that's how many laws there are when you add in agency rules carrying criminal sanctions.
It makes the idea of being guilty or innocent so meaningless.
I should say what I mean is not people violate the law every day, but that most people > 18 HAVE violated a federal law at one time. There. That's better.
