Link File Issue MS Access 2002 (1 Viewer)

Ok so im trying to link a XLS file to my access data base, however; there are 2 columns that show blank after the linking process is complete. The Spreadsheet has these columns populated. One is date m/dd/yyyy format, the other is Quantity (formatted as Number).

I linked another spreadsheet, which I am using to compare, that also has these columns and it linked perfectly....

Please help
