Hi
i have made a database and on the pc i use it works fine, the database has to be used by several people so i copied it to their pc and most of them work fine but 2 pc's have a problem with one field, they are same OS and spec as others that the database works on.
the field that has the problem is in forms\stock the 'allocated' main field picks up from the total in the subform but on the 2 pc's that have the problem the allocated in the main just appears blank and so the on_hand calculates as allocated having zero value.
hopefully someone can explain\help with this
i have tried reinstalling access (2003) but still no difference
also works on access 2000 pc's as well
thanks

Works Ok for me.
Check your references to see if they match.
I noticed you are using the NZ function on the textbox, check to see if this is available in the version of access on the 2 PC's.
Are you using an exact copy of the db that works on the other pc's

Apart from that I cannot think of anything else.

Regards
Andy

link not working

thanks for that
both pc's are running 2003 the same as mine but is there anywhere to check that this is a valid function (can this be turned on / off?)
thanks
kev

Kev,

No you can't turn it on or off, it's either installed or not. I might be going down a dead end road here, but have you tried it without the nz function.

If it works then it could be the installation or the version of access 2003 installed. If the click on Help > About and the version displays something like
Access 2003 (11.12345.12433) etc. Check this against the other pc's, if it is different have you tried full re-installation.

Apart from this I cannot offer anymore advice, sorry!

Hope this helps
Andy
