Link to Backend

I changed the name of my Backend database and not I can't remember how to tell the frontend to update all the links to match the backend.

You're looking for the Linked Table Manager. Right clicking in the navigation pane should reveal it.

I changed the name of the backend from Backend Skills Mgr.mdb to Skills Mgr Backend.mdb but now I can't even open my front end. It says cannot find file O:\WWP Shared\Databases\Backend Skills Mgr.mdb

Try holding down the Shift key while opening the front end.

Even when I hold down the shift key it still tells me the same thing

So make a copy of your

Skills Mgr Backend.mdb

file in the same location and then rename that copy to

Backend Skills Mgr.mdb

in order to open the database and then use the Linked Table Manager to change the links over to the

Skills Mgr Backend.mdb

file and then, once relinked, delete the extra copy you made under the old name.
