Linking 2 Table getting Hanged access 2003

Hi Guys

It is a simple linking based on one Column in Both the Table.
The problem is
One Table has "11 Lakh Rows other 2000 Rows"

Actually I am not sure weather the computer is getting hanged or Not as I wait for 10 min still when I am not able to see any update I End the access.

> Can Any one suggest how much Time it should take if its working properly ?
> Also How can I know if it is working or hanged ? (errors like memory overflow will not come after I wait for an hour or so)
> Do you think I can use DLOOKUP instead of linnking as I want it to be one on One link ?

I am in a do or die situation as I have a presentation due this tuesday Pleease help........Any help will be appreciated a Looooooooooooot.

correct me if i am wrong but you have 2 tables. one table is related to the other by a field.

if so then use the relationships in database tools tab.

if i am wrong could you please elaborate or attach your database

Hi Shutzy

If you remember Access 2003, I have used design Query ,linked/ Join by dragging the common feilds. And then selecting * from both the tables.
Yes both the Table are local. But the catch is The join is between 2 Queries not Tables.
But it is a basic Query where I have concatinated around 10 feilds in both table to make one Feild.
Note one with 11 Lakh rows is approximately of size 300 MB, Other table is small.

Are you suggesting me to Create a table to make it Work faster. And do u still stand by few seconds ?
also can you suggest a way to identify why is the access not responding after even 7 minutes. ?
