Hello All,

I have created a DB containing several individual tables all relating to my stores stocks/locations. See attachments.

What I would like to do is to have the "how many removed" quantity in the "stores removal" subtract that number from the "Roplex Stock" quantity.

Also, on the ROPLEX STOCK, the tab is actually labled BP STOCK. Can this be changed to ROPLEX STOCK?

Many thanks.

You could just use an update query for this, nice and easy.

Could you explain how to do it please, I am new to access and find it quite difficult. Cheers.

OK - I've just had a look at your database and you've got the design a bit wrong. You need to think about tables almost as subjects - examples would be stock, sales etc.

You're also treating tables like spreadsheets - you don't need to insert any blank lines in between subjects in each of your tables as you have.

Probably the best thing to do is google relational database design, have a read and think about how to best set up your database - as it is you're going to make a lot of extra work for yourself down the line...

I tried an update query, but when i removed an item from the Stores DB, it actually removed all items from the Roplex stock DB, Can I instruct only this function to look at one cell in another DB?

Just very new at Access....
