Long date format

I have a text box in a report with the following in the Control Source Property:-

="Please find below details of collections made during the period " & Forms!criteriafrm6!Combo0 & " and " & Forms!criteriafrm6!Combo3 & " inclusive."

Combo0 and Combo6 are input by the user in the format ddmmyy to select the date range to print. The report prints out the date in format dd/mm/yyyy.
How do I get the report to print the date in Long Date format (eg. 03 February 2009)?

A solution or link would be grateful.

in the report just look at the display properties for the date field, and select the date format (long date) you require

Already tried this and it don't work.
Guess it's because this is text and not a date field.
Also, tried setting the Format property in criteriafrm6 form to Long Date and although it displays it, it don't come through on report.

i think to force it to long date its

dd mmm yyyy

might be

dd mmmm yyy

instead of numbers, 3ms will give you the month name (possible abbreviated - in which case 4ms will most likely do it in full)
