Look for data across 4 fields

In order to graduate, a student must pass all 4 parts of a state standardized test. If they do not pass one or more of the tests (Math, Science, English and Social Studies) they need to take the test they did not pass again.

How can I query the students who need to retake the test by looking at the 4 fields (Math, Science, English and Social Studies) to see if they have a score of 3 or 4 in any one or more of the fields?

This seems like it should be simple, but something is eluding me. Thanks!

how do you have your tables set up? do you have a table like

Tbl_testscore
testscoreID
testID (which could be math science english or ss)
score

or something along those lines?

Pretty straightforward:

SELECT *
FROM SOME_TABLE
WHERE MATH IN (3,4) OR SCIENCE IN (3,4) OR...

set up with the following field names:

StudentName
MathPerformanceLevel
SciencePerformanceLevel
EnglishPerformanceLevel
SocialStudiesPerformanceLevel

This data is downloaded from the state in Excel format.
