I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

Avg is hard to get rid of annoying rubbish.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials as well. And I scan my computer every now and then using Malwarebytes to get rid of malware and spyware if need be. I also use this combination at work and as long as user are taught what they should not click on when on the web, things should run smoothly.

I'm using kaspersky (KIS) for almost 7 years.
No problems ever. You can download a free trial from their website.

Hi all

I'm an IT technician and I use various anti-virus products dependant upon the customers needs. For home users I usually suggest MS Security Essentials and for businesses I like to use AVG CloudCare because it allows me to centrally administer their protection. I can also update, scan and restart uses machines with this software, handy when I need to remove a virus or some spyware / malware. CloudCare also has an iPad / iPhone app that allows me to do things when I'm out of my office and have no easy access to a PC.
