looking for sample databases provided iwth Access 2003 Inside out

Dear Friends,

I am a naive in access and really looking for some mentor to help me learn quickly

I am presently going through a book Call "Microsoft Access 2003 InsideOut" I dont have the cd so thus missing the sample databses discussedin the book.

If anyone can provide me with this data base then it would be a great help

I asked around some of my contacts and this was the reply from Microsoft:

"If the book CD is damaged or missing, they need to go back to the point of sale. In general, people can submit issues to mspinput@microsoft.com."

Hope that gets you going in the right direction.

Exotic handle. I have this book & CD and found it an excellent introduction for a serious database project. It still only scratches the surface as my getting on for 200 posts testify, but it is certainly a start.

Drop me a line and we can discuss the mechanics of getting a copy of the files to you. It would probably be easiest if I zip chapters (the sample code, not the e-book!) and mail them.

The disc includes an e-book copy of the book, along with various general computer reference books of little real interest and the sample + some sample dbs not explored in the book - not sure about this last bit as it is a while since I delved and may be confusing myself with another book.

Incidentally, I have a book gifted to me without a CD, Access 97 VBA Programming for Dummies. As this was the area that I was a) avoiding, and b) light on, I wanted to work through it. A quick post on the publishers website had them posting the CD out to me free of charge. I have to say I was very impressed as all I wanted to do was download the files. Having said that, the disc has not arrived yet and as this is sunny Qatar, may never arrive. Don't know if they would be happy to post a free cpy out twice.
