Very nice here at the bottom of the south pacific. Cooling down a bit now, which is good. Getting sick of the 35c heat for the past weeks.

Jammie dodgers - its a buscuit with jam (Jelly but slightly thinker) in the middle of 2 bits of shortbread - nearly as nice as a cookie - but someone else eat all the cookies

Gary,

I had the misfortune to grow up in the seaside retirement town of Herne Bay. On the plus side, I went to school in Canterbury, and worked there for a few years too. After uni, I ended up in Faversham before moving here. I liked Faversham, although not all of its inhabitants;) ; a much nicer place than HB.

When most people say north Kent, they mean Medway towns, hence my response... Sittingbourne is equally as dire.

Weather here (3 hours south of Paris) has been glorious all week; about 28 deg C most afternoons. Snow is forecast next week though.:(

So which bit of Kent are you in?
