I apologize if this has been asked before.

I have an Access 2013 database that I have saved on our SharePoint site.
(https://xxx.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/Shared Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx)

The db works fine but when a user clicks and opens the db, a copy is saved on their computer to make changes.
If they just close out then those changes are not on the copy on the SharePoint site just only in the computer on their copmuter.
They have to, before they close out, manually click that yellow "Save to Sharpoint Site" button.
My question is can I write some sort of macro that automatically saves to the SharePoint site when the database is closed?
Thanks
Kathie

I would be more interested in why is it creating a copy to the users PC? How have you uploaded the database to the SharePoint site.

Does it matter that it is an Office 365 SharePoint site?

I've uploaded the way it told me to by simply dragging a file into the space to upload. (see the attached screen capture of our site).

Thanks
Kathie

Within the Apps Launcher does it allow you to open MS Access. You have only placed the Database in the Documents Library you more than likely would need an Access App or Forms App.

It does not appear I have either of those.

Didn't really helped as that SharePoint button under Database Tools is greyed out for me.

So I tested it again by copying my data into a new database and the SharePoint button became available.

So I tested the method in the video and it only put my tables on SharePoint. Not the whole database that has the forms and queries to make life simple for my users.

When you click the cog in the sharepoint site and look at site content can you search for Access App and hopefully that come up with an option for you.

Here is another video that provides instructions. It is building a New Database the detail is there for you.

Finally got a chance to circle back to this database and watch the last video you sent.

Unfortunately it looks as though I don't have the permissions on our SharePoint site to create an Access web app.
