Am preparing a db in A2010. Have imported forms and other bits from 3 A2007 db's, and the forms' looks (colour, background colour, fonts, bits sunken/raised) differ.

How make all the forms acquire the same look?

Haven't done this, but I think you can take any Form and design the standard pieces (consistent things you need) and name that Form.
Then copy that form to build your new form1 (various controls, recordsource etc)
Copy the original again, as say form2 and set up controls, recordsource etc.

The idea is to use the first/original form as a template, then customize the controls you need for the specific forms --form1, form2..

spikepl I found this after posting Hope it helps

Good luck.

Yes but I am coming from the other end: have stuff already that I'd rather not rebuild if I could get away with that ...

You got some process or logic in mind?

Magic wand? :D Format painter?

Nah, any means (preferably designed for lazy people) to make two disparate but existing forms look the same.

There is Autoformat. You can save the format of your old forms as an autoformat pattern then apply it to the new ones and they hopefully will magically become at least close to what you want.

Need to enable the autoformat button in the quick access toolbar I believe.

Thx - I'll give it a whirl when I get back to the machine where I have the stuff ... never paid much attention to "looks" before ...

It fixed 90% of it, the rest was fixable by hand. Thanks.
