Access is not a word processor. I have heard of, but not seen, some add-on modules to allow this sort of highlighting. I regret I cannot offer you a source for this. Search the forum for "text formatting" to see if anyone else has named a module to do what you want.
"Pure" Access allows font characteristics only at the level of the entire text box. It will not try to interpret anything inside a text box as anything other than text. So escape sequences and other special formatting characters just become visible as though they were really text.
