Almost finished, making the MDE?

Okay, everyone here has been SO helpful getting everything set. I've got a nice database, with workgroup security deployed on it for user level access. The database is split and the backend is on the network drive, while the front end resides on the user system, referencing the network for its workgroup file and linked back end. It opens in form view to give a nice programmatic feel and has all the menus hidden from view.

I even deployed a nice bit of code recommended by autoeng and microsoft to change a file in the directory when I want to send an automatic prompt to logoff users.

Now, I just want to lock down the code in an MDE for the front end, but my "Make MDE file" option is grayed out. Any ideas? I've already restricted the users from being able to modify the designs, etc, but would like to make an MDE to be finished.

Thanks again for all your help,

Patrick

Are you using Access 2002 with your database in an Access 2000 format?

If so, convert the database to Access 2002 and then make it an MDE.

Excellent - worked like a charm :)
