max 255 letters in a box

I have a text box in a form. i need this box to be able to hold more than the max 255 words or numbers access allows me. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to epand this.

Use a Memo field

hint:

when you use a memmo field dont set its control format to ">" in order to capitalise the data or it will be treated like a text box and only show the first 255 characters.

Likewise if you format the memmo field in the table to ">" in order to capitalise the data it again treats it as a text field with a max size of 255 characters.

It took me a while to suss out this simple thing was screwing up my data.
