Max Date for Price for Order Details (1 Viewer)

I am stumped right now

I have a prices table that as prices increase / change we can change it and see previouse changes etc.

Then there is the products table

I am having a hard time figuring out how to set up a orders detail qry

I have a max date qry to show the most current price for the products
and then link it to the product order table in the orders detail qry.

But it wont let me add data, it shows what is already there in the order detail table and gives me no ability to add another item to the sale.

I have tried every which way I can think of changing the relationship etc in the qry with no luck.

I would but it is 1 to large and 2 there actually is 2 different db's one has the product info etc. and the other is made for special order info. I will try to clean a fake one up to show what is going on.
