max number of characters in long text field?

Hi all, I use offfice 2016 and imported an Excel Woksheet which contains 1 of more cells with (lets say) 900 characters. I used ths "long text" option for this field. When I open the table the field still contains the 900 characters.

My question/problem: when I use the same table in a query or even copy/paste the content into Excel of a new table the number of characters is limited to 255. How can I make and (select) query and export it into Excel keeping the 900 charcaters?
