I have an mdb file that is being used in Access 2013. The menu appears in the Add Ins as it is supposed to and it works for the most part. For some reason, it remains visible but is not clickable/operable after I do the following code. This all works flawlessly in earlier version of Access so it must something peculiar to 2013 (no surprise there....). Anybody have any ideas as to what would cause the ribbon to stop working, what to do when it does, and best of all, how to prevent it from occurring in the first place?

THanks, Rick

This code is for an option box that either prints a report or creates a pdf and then sends the report as and attachment to a CDO generated email. Other than it (seemingly) turns off the menu, it works fantastically and I can recommend it to anybody. It's good stuff!

THe site won't allow me to post links so the code is an attached txt file

no need to post links, just use the advanced editor and you can copy and paste your code.

Just make sure you surround the code with the code tags - that's the # button in the advanced editor - to preserve indents and spacing. Your attached file is extremely difficult to read in its current form and you will not attract many responses as a result.

Suggest you also highlight which row of the code is causing the problem

Thanks for the tips on putting code up. There are links in there for the CDO which is why it was rejected.

I have no idea at what point the menu is being disabled although I have been able to isolate that it has nothing to do with the print part of the procedure. I am trying to get it to run in sections to see where it pukes but working in 2013 is so frustrating.... and slow! I'll take 2003 or before any day. Sorry for the rant!

BTW, this is puking on both WIndows 8 and Windows 7 machines. It could have something to do with the chemistry between the OS and Access and not just Access itself.

Thanks for your ideas.
