Hi
After a Microsoft365 upgrade, my databases will not load reports. When I try to compact and repair I get a message that the MsysResources file is missing. I have copied the front end from another computer which is working fine but the error persists on my laptop.

Would appreciate any assistance.

Many thanks

Can you physically see that the MSysResources table is there? Can you create a new blank database?

Yes I can create a new blank database. Where would I see the MsysResources table?

You would see it in the Navigation Pane if you show the System tables in the Options settings.

Thanks

It doesn't show in the original db or the blank one I created.

I have a hard time believing that. Show us a screenshot of your Navigation Options dialog.

Sorry, it does appear if I enable show hidden objects, however when I try to open it I get a message stating unrecognised database format

I was just aboiut to say, you need to show hidden objects. :)

Which version of access were your databases written in? Maybe they are not compatible with the current version.

Although the unrecognised format points to a corrupted database maybe.

Do you get the "unrecognizable format" message when opening MSysResources in the blank database you created?

If so, it might be good (if you can still do so) to roll back the M365 update one version and try again.
